The Tanzania Veterinary Association (TVA) is pleased to announce that its 34th Scientific

Conference will be held at the Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) from the 6th to

8th December 2016 in Arusha, Tanzania.

The Theme for the Conference is: “Disease Control as the Main Driver for Improving

Productivity and Livestock Market Access”

Sub-Themes are:

1. Challenges in Disease Control

2. Challenges and Opportunities of Livestock Market Access

3. Trends in Livestock Information Market System

TVA therefore invites those who wish to present papers during the Conference to submit high

quality Abstracts and Full Papers related to the above Theme and Sub-Themes. Abstracts

should not exceed 250 words and should include Title of up to 120 characters (including

spaces), the author’s full names and affiliations, followed by continuous text body without

paragraphs, and four to six keywords. Full papers should be typed in double spacing not

exceeding 15 pages, excluding figures, tables, and references. Abstracts and Full Papers

should be prepared in Microsoft Word format, 12-point font size of Times New Romans in UK

English, Posters should be 1.5m high and 1.2m wide.

Note: Deadline for submission of Abstract is 30th September 2016 and for Full Paper is

14th November 2016

Electronic submission of Abstracts and full papers should be sent to the Chairman of the

Scientific Committee: Prof Esron Karimuribo (ekarimu@yahoo.co.uk) and copied to a member

of the Scientific Committee, Dr Solomon Nong’ona (snongona@yahoo.com)

Furthermore, it is expected that during Powerpoint presentation, the font size should NOT be

less than 26 and number of slides be manageable within ten (10) minutes.
