Southern African Centre for Infectious Disease Surveillance (SACIDS) took part in the exhibition to commemorate the Late Hon. Edward Moringe Sokoine, a patron of Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) during Sokoine memorial week held at the Sokoine University Main campus from 8thto 12thApril 2018.

This year’s event took place in concurrently with the Agriculture and Agribusiness Conference 2018 themed Repositioning Agriculture and Agribusiness in Tanzania in the 21stCentury: Opportunities and Challenges.The event was graced by Tanzanian Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Hon. Dr. Charles Tizeba and Tanzanian Minister for Education, Science and Technology Hon. Prof. Joyce Ndalichako as the Guest of Honors together with other dignitaries and visitors including Health experts.

SACIDS had an opportunity to showcase its scientific work and projects in promoting One Heath Research and Training. Moreover, a recently developed AfyaData tool set, a mobile and web application used for the community based detection of infectious disease surveillance.
